When to use Runway
You are exploring a look, a camera move or a 5-second scene. You are comfortable prompting, retrying and cutting in an editor. Quality of the generation itself is the point.
When to use Crelavo
You start from a product URL. You need a campaign path: hook, proof, CTA, marketplace format, delivery in the dashboard. You want a 24-hour preview, then Pro at $9.99/month, instead of buying generation credits to find a usable take.
A seller example
10 SKUs, 3 hooks each. In Runway that is dozens of generations and usually Pro or Max. In Crelavo you paste the product link, set the channel, and get a campaign package. Some teams use both: Runway for a hero shot, Crelavo for the ad skeleton and delivery.
Comparison
| Feature | Crelavo | Runway |
|---|---|---|
| Starts from | Product link or brief | Prompt, image, editor |
| You get | Campaign video path, hooks, captions, dashboard delivery | Generated clips you assemble |
| Entry price | Pro $9.99/month after a 24-hour preview | Standard $15/month ($12 billed yearly) |
| Other plans | Live Sales, Drone, Growth as separate offers | Pro $35/month, Max $95/month |
| Credits | Unused subscription credits roll over while the plan is active | Standard and Pro reset each month. Max rolls over about one month |
| Gen-4.5 volume (Runway’s own math) | Not a Gen-4.5 seat. Production is scoped as a request | Standard ~52 seconds/month, Pro ~187, Max ~791 |
| Shopify / Amazon / Trendyol | Dedicated product-link workflows | General video tool, no marketplace funnel |
| Review | AI plus human QA on delivery | You review the takes |
| Languages | English, German, French, Turkish | General, not built around TR ecommerce |
On Runway Standard, one 5-second Gen-4.5 clip is 60 credits. A failed take still spends the credits. About ten tries can empty the month. That is normal for a model lab. It is a poor fit if you needed ten product ads, not ten experiments.
